FINAL FANTASY THE SPIRITS WITHIN サウンドトラック

株式会社スクウェアがゲームで儲けたカネをつぎ込んで作ったが、大コケした映画「FINAL FANTASY THE SPIRITS WITHIN」（2001年）のサントラCDです。

この映画は以前観たことがありましたが、わかりにくい映画でした。

Wikipedia を今さっき読んでみて「ああ、そうだったのか」と思ったことがたくさんありました。

ゲームとはほとんど接点がない（シドが出てくる以外は）ストーリーや世界だったもんで、「これは FINAL FANTASY じゃない」とみんなも思ったのではないでしょうか。

さて、この CD はサントラで全18曲が収録されています。

16曲めまではロンドン交響楽団の演奏で、15曲目「Blue Light」が例外的にリリカルで美しいが、それ以外はオドロオドロしいものが多く、16曲目できちんとクライマックスを迎えます。

17曲目は Lara Fabian というベルギー人女性歌手の美しい歌唱が聴けますが、最後のエンドロールのときの曲でしょうか。

このあと 18曲目の L’Arc～en～Ciel のロック調の曲で〆られます。

うーん、15、17、18曲目だけ聴けばいいかな。
